Vica Lew is a Filipina illustrator and designer based in San Francisco who loves creating things for kids and kids at heart.

She brings warmth and charm to every project, with a diverse portfolio spanning activity books, toy design, surface pattern design, and 2D illustrations for animation and games. Most recently, she worked with companies like Hasbro and Nick Jr., and hopes to add your brand to her list of lovely clients!

Vica Lew specializes in vibrant and playful illustrations, often incorporating a kawaii style in her work. Her pieces come to life with smiley faces abound, and strong dynamic color palettes.

Her paper goods + gifts brand, Yay! It’s Vica, launched in 2019, featuring a colorful and cute selection of stationery and wearables. Vica’s products can be found gracing shelves of shops all over the US and around the world. Her wholesale catalog is available through Faire.

Customers can also purchase items directly from her online shop and Etsy store, where she has over 8,000 sales and over 2,000 5-star reviews.

Throughout the year, Yay! It’s Vica can also be found at different craft fairs and pop-ups around the Bay Area, including West Coast Craft Market, SJ Made, and Head West.

MANILA & MUSIC

Vica Lew was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2011 with a specialization in Advertising and PR. Before moving to San Francisco in 2018, Vica had a career in marketing, events, and digital strategy.

Music was also a big part of her life, and Vica was very involved in the local music scene. As a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Vica enjoys weaving intricate melodies and layers of vocal harmonies and instrumentation through live looping. So far, she has released two EPs with her band, Reese & Vica, and one solo EP under her maiden name, Vica Hernandez.
